Technological Literacy activity is a dawn to educate the children, youth, SHG’s and elder people about technological upgradations which would assist them in their daily life. The target audience were enlightened by teaching them about internet usage, security threats, online education courses, internet/mobile banking and online bookings at schools, colleges, rural areas, old age homes and self help groups. This field work enabled students to communicate with people belonging to different age groups, networking, proper planning, coordination and scheduling of tasks through appropriate allocation of resources.
Interview with HR, a part of Human Resource management activity for Industrial exposure. Our I year MBA students were asked to interact with the HR managers and professionals of reputed and well established organisation.The main objective of this activity is to create a platform so that the students can explore ,experience and learn about realistic working environment and understand the technological aspects. Through this activity, students gained knowledge about HR policies, HR schemes, payrolls, employees welfare schemes, professional practices, handling employee grievances, employee Retention, etc. Students interviewed HR managers from many eminent organisations which includes Hyundai, ACS medical college and hospital, Croma, ITC, Saveetha dental college, Qube cinemas, Sathyam cinemas, etc.
Coffee with entrepreneur, is an activity given to the MBA students in order to gain knowledge about an entrepreneur’s lifestyle, strategic moves, work life balance, decision making, etc. The students were divided into small teams and asked to interview a Startup entrepreneur as well as an Established entrepreneur. After visiting the entrepreneur, a set of questions regarding the field of entrepreneurship such as challenges, future plans, initial investments, etc were asked. Through this activity, they got insights from the entrepreneurs which motivated them extensively to become future entrepreneurs. They also acquired learning on how to face challenges and complications in every aspects of business.
Field survey on Sales Personnel Service Excellence of Brands were conducted by our students in different malls of Chennai city. This activity is all about observing and experiencing various popular brands such as H&M, RADO, CAFÉ COFFEE DAY, MAX, LIFESTYLE, DOMINOS etc. The objective of this activity is to analyse sales personnel behaviour in customer handling, brand representation, unique methods of selling, convincing and converting walk-ins as customers. A questionnaire based on Service quality and Excellence of brands were given to people encountering the malls for shopping and comparison were done to analyse the services offered by same brand in two different places.
